PARANGA at the Gastronomos Food Festival: A Weekend Full of Flavour

Paranga Cubes, Gastronomos (4)

How much of Greece can you taste in one weekend? On 10 and 11 October, we headed to Pireos 260 for the Gastronomos Food Festival, a celebration of food and music that brought flavours from across Greece together in one place.

Cooking got under way early, with pots simmering and chefs showcasing the incredible variety of Greek cuisine. With twenty restaurants from across the country, traditional favourites, cooking demonstrations and tastings, there was so much to discover that we hardly knew where to start!

Naturally, PARANGA was right in the middle of it all. Our eye-catching bar at the heart of the festival became a popular meeting spot for people who love good food, enjoy trying new flavours and know how to have a good time. With a glass of our favourite PARANGA in hand – White, Red, Blue or Flowers – we wandered from stall to stall, stopping to try something delicious and have a chat along the way. After all, who says enjoying good wine has to be a formal affair?

On Sunday evening, PARANGA White and Red took their place alongside dishes created by some of Greece’s leading chefs. The same wines we’d enjoyed earlier with a souvlaki on the go were now being served with fine-dining dishes. Different food, different setting, but the same pleasure of enjoying a good glass of wine.

If the weekend reminded us of one thing, it’s this: there’s no single right way to enjoy good food and wine. There’s just your way.
